The launch of the next-generation iPhone will be, without a doubt, by the year 2020, however there are rumors of a possible delay with respect to the classical date of September.
From years we are accustomed to denials for this kind of rumor (even if in the case of the iPhone X and iPhone XR proved to be exact), but the current situation of crisis has changed the cards on the table for the entire market, and has reversed the situation: we’ll be surprised if Apple fails to appear timely at the event in September with all 4 models, expected ready for launch in the following weeks.
According to a new report in The Wall Street Journal, in fact, it seems that all the phases of mass production of the next iPhone 12 will undergo a delay of at least 2 months and that Apple has reduced by 20% the number of iphones it intends to produce (or to produce) in the course of the second half of 2020.
It is not clear whether the slowdown of the production chain may in some way be prevented by giving greater priority to some variants than in others, in order to get to September with a fair number of stocks at least 2 of the 4 models provided. In any case, it is now clear that even in 2020 we will see the timing of the launch is different from the usual.
Remember that this year we should find 2 models, belonging to the family iPhone 12, to which one associates as many iPhone 12 Pro. The more expensive versions will be distinguished by the presence of a greater number of cameras (including LiDAR), and a new design, while all 4 smartphone will be equipped with the panels of OLED, thus the end of the new top of the range LCD.
