The Intel Core processors 10a gen Comet Lake-S should debbuttare by the end of the month, bringing to market a new generation of motherboards based on chipset series Intel 400. Pending official information, from the network to emerge the first details and images of the new motherboard partner ASUS and MSI, in particular of the models of beams of high-belonging respectively to the line ASUS ROG and MSI MEG/MPG format.
The portal videocardz has published a slide of the new ASUS ROG Maximus XII chipset-based Intel Z490composed of five models that are mainly aimed at the overclockers and gamers are more demanding.
The models, in detail ROG Maximus XII Formula, ROG Maximus XII Extreme, ROG Maximus XII Hero (Wi-Fi) and ROG Maximus XII Apex, represent an evolution of the current versions with chipset Z390, all with feeds to 16 stages, support for DDR4 4800 and wireless LAN 2.5 G or 10 Gbe; note, however, that the new motherboard does not support PCI-E 4.0, probably not yet essential, but it has already been implemented by AMD on the platform X570 presented last year.
From the report then the introduction of a new model, the ROG Maximus XII Extreme Glacial (not shown in the slide), probably a version with PCB white from ROG Maximus XII Extreme.
Moving on to the MSI, instead, are shown in the following details and images on the entire range Z490, starting from the top model MEG Z490 GODLIKE (with support for Thunderbolt), and arriving at the most economical PRO series with the MSI Z490 A-PRO. Also in this case we find options for the most demanding users, extensive options for overclocking and technology support MSI Mystic LIght.
Remember that the new Intel motherboards Z490 will support the processors Core 10a Gen “Comet Lake-S” with socket LGA 1200, which is incompatible with the current generation LGA 1151. Returning finally to the proposal from MSI, on the web you begin to speak also of prices, which, needless to say, at the moment are not official.
