The Google Phone was recently updated to version 47 on the Play Store and the new release is already available for download for the owners of smartphones Pixels and does not seem to introduce significant innovations.
For this reason, the colleagues Android Police have decided to carry out a teardown of the APK to the search of new features coming. The research has given positive results, and at a distance of more than two months since the introduction of call recording, we can therefore expect the arrival of new features:
- Flip to Shush: new feature that will allow you to mute quickly the volume of the ringtone during an incoming call. The function, similar to that already implemented by various OEM’s on their smartphone, will automatically activate the mode DND (do Not disturb) simply by inverting the device.
- New option for video calls: the strings of code inserted at the edge of the version 47 Google Phone allow us to predict that the introduction of a new mode of response to the video call. Specifically, it will be possible to answer the video call without necessarily having to activate the video stream. The sender of the call will be correctly shown, while the recipient can decide whether to respond with audio or not. There are currently no available additional information.
Both of the functions are not yet publicly available: the information provided by the strings of code are rather general and there is no timeline on a possible release. We can only wait for the future updates.
To follow you will leave it therefore to the latest version of the Google Phone available on the Play Store and APKMirror.com.
