The employees in the Apple retail Stores will offer technical support from home

Apple has recently contacted some of its employees at retail in the United States, proposing to work from home as a support consultant on a temporary basis due to the pandemic in the course.

The employees in retail that accept this offer will receive the necessary equipment from Apple to provide support to customers via phone or online chat and even a small cash incentive. It is not clear how long it will last this role at home, how many employees have received this offer or if it is offered in other countries.

With thousands of employees retail that have already a good experience with the sales and service currently at home, this move makes sense and will help to reduce the workload of the current internal consultants of Apple.

The program is apparently optional, but those who have chosen to participate will be provided with an iMac 27 ” and a virtual training that will be held in the next two weeks. The company’s pilot program since the stores have closed but is now being opened to a larger number of employees. The Vice President of Retail and People Deirdre O’brien, Apple has stated that the pilot program “is going great“.
