The new range of smartphones OnePlus 8 is preparing to make its official debut-we have them known and appreciated in photography – the Pro version just a few days ago and even in the hands of Robert Downey Junior – and now we have new confirmations about the technical features.

The information will focus on two of the three smartphones expected for the same range – in particular, it talks about the OnePlus 8 and the variant of the flagship OnePlus 8 Pro – and there are provided by Ishan Agarwal, a source now fairly reliable in the industry, which highlights some discrepancies compared to what emerged a few weeks ago.

In short:

  • The refresh rate to 120Hz in the display will only be present on OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus 8 stops at 90Hz;
  • Disappears cut from 6GB of RAM memory for OnePlus 8; however, the 8 and 12GB LPDDR4X (OnePlus 8 Pro will have the LPDDR5);
  • The front cameras of both smartphones are not to be 32MP, but “only” 16MP;
  • OnePlus 8 Pro will have a certification IP68, absent, instead, on the standard version;
  • OnePlus 8 Pro will have a quad rear camera 48+48+8+5MP (before it had assumed a triple from 60+16+13MP and ToF sensor 3D)
  • Display Super AMOLED 6,55″ with a resolution of FHD+ and refresh rate to 90Hz
  • SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 865
  • 8/12GB of RAM memory LPDDR4X
  • 128/256GB of internal storage (UFS 3.0)

With regard to the timing of the launch, finally, the family OnePlus 8 is expected to be announced in mid-April, even if still lacking the official confirmation in this regard.
