Apple has filed and obtained a restraining order against a stalker who has harassed and threatened the security of the CEO Tim Cook.
The ordeal started when the 25 September and 2 October 2019, a man of 42 years, this Rakesh “Rocky” Sharma, has called at an unspecified leader, Apple, to leave the secretariat for some messages “disturbing“, as reported in the documents submitted by Apple in the complaint. In subsequent calls to Apple technical support, Sharma said he know where they live, the members of the executive team of Apple: “do Not use weapons and ammunition, but know people who do it“.
The situation degenerated on 4 December, when the stalker has jumped the gate and entered in the property private Tim Cook to Palo Alto to deliver champagne and flowers. Shortly after, the man he has tagged Cook in a series of tweets with photos sessualizzate” which depicted the Apple CEO in positions inappropriate.
The 15th of January, Sharma came back in the private property of Tim Cook, breaking the gate and playing directly to the doorbell. The police intervened after a little while, but in the meantime, the intruder had already fled the scene. The situation was then taken in charge by William Burns, chief security officer of Apple, which has made present un restraining order against Sharma.
The court has accepted this request and issued a restraining order against Sharma, who will have to keep away from Tim Cook and his property, as well as from the Apple Park and all the corporate offices of Apple, the store including. The order expires on the 3rd of march, when is expected the first hearing.
