Signal update making it easier to manage the encrypted files @BitFeedCo.

Signal is without a doubt one of the major messaging services more appreciated when it comes to privacy and security of your messages, thanks to the protocol developed in-house encryption. If, on the one hand, the encryption of messages and files makes the app very secure, and it makes it a little easier to manage. It is precisely this aspect that the developers have wanted to improve with the new update.

In his latest blog post, Signal outlines how his goal is to give users control over data stored on their device without compromising the privacy.

Signal includes a new screen that represents what currently occupies the space, divided between photo, video, file, audio, and miscellaneous. This chart provides a good indication of how memory is being used, and which files to delete first.

Since the new tool is part of the app itself, it can read the directory at the Signal and see what is in each file, giving an indication as to which may be deleted (depending on the size or the will of the user).
