Lenovo brought to the CES in Las Vegas many new products: the portable and the peripheral line of the Legion, monitor, ThinkVision, an AiO ThinkCentre and the new ThinkPad laptops, which is without a doubt the X1 Fold, that is, the first foldable portable in the world that we showed with our video preview. The innovations extend to the fans of the world of motors with the Lenovo Ducati 5 and beyond, until you reach the range of portable Yoga and the Ideapad based on ChromeOS. In this article, we deal in particular:
- Yoga 5G

- IdeaPad Duet Chromebook and IdeaPad Flex 5 Chromebook
Lenovo has chosen the stage of the CES 2020 to implement the plan that was presented at the last edition of Computex: the first laptop in the world with connectivity 5G leave the state of prototype and has a date of arrival on the market and a price: will be available in the spring of 1.499 dollars.
Yoga 5G is a 2-in-1, based on the operating system Windows 10 on ARM, it has a hardware equipment comprising:
- SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx with GPU Adreno 680 (the platform officially to the edition in 2019 in the MWC)
- Modem 5G compatible with the frequencies of the 5G sub-6 GHz and mmWave

Yoga 5G represents a further evolutionary step of the program is “Always On, Always Connected” Qualcomm, through which the company, in collaboration with partners, wants to offer a chipset for use in portable Windows 10 designed to stay always connected to the network data (without the need to have a WiFi hotspot nearby), reaching at the same time, a good mix of performance and fuel consumption.
Yoga Slim 7 is a traditional laptop, available in the version with a screen 14″ and 15″. The model with the screen from 14″ can be configured with either the AMD’s a-series Ryzen 4000 integrated graphics presented today, both with Intel CPUS (up to Core i7, the tenth generation), and video cards Intel Iris Plus or the more recent GeForce MX NVIDIA.
Always for version 14″ are provided for two finishes: one with the rear fabric, the second all-metal; the first has a thickness of 15.4 mm and a weight of 1.55 kg, which are respectively 14.9 mm and 1.5 kilograms in the second. The first variant can be configured optionally with a panel 4K; version all metal instead provides only a screen to FHD. Three colors available: Slate Grey, Orchid, and Dark Moss.
For the 15-inch model are planned configurations with processors Intel Core of the 10th generation, which can be combined with video cards up to the GeForce GTX Nvidia. Among the distinctive features of this model stands out from the report screen-body equal to 90% and a battery life of up to 13 hours (the battery supports fast charging). Features common to both include:

- Lenovo emphasizes that the portable Yoga Slim 7 will be the first to support the voice assistant Amazon. In the course of the year the compatibility will be extended to other Lenovo PC

Yoga Slim 7 14″ will be available in the spring with prices starting from 1.209 dollars for the versions with the Intel CPU and $ 849 for those with AMD CPUS. Yoga Slim 7 15″ will arrive in the same period, with prices starting from 1.209, $ 99 (as said, only with Intel CPU). More details on availability in other markets will be communicated later on.
IdeaPad Duet is presented by Lenovo as the thinnest and lightest Chromebook the world (measuring 239,8 x 159, 8 x 7, 35 mm, and the tablet has a weight of 430 grams and promises up to 10 hours of battery. It is a portable 2-in-1 with integrated stand, (and offers a maximum angle of 135 degrees) and the screen separated from the keyboard: the display unit is a 10.1″ panel IPS FHD (1920 x 1200 pixels) , and the level of maximum brightness of 400 nits.
At the base of the hardware platform is the SoC MediaTek Helio P60T, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of memory eMMC (espandibil). To enrich the equipment of the series is the fingerprint reader, a dual speaker and 1 USB port-C. The keyboard attaches to the screen is supplied, while the stylus you can buy optionally.
IdeaPad Flex 5 is, instead, a laptop with a screen 13″ and a weight of 1.35 kilograms. It’s configurable with processors up to Intel Core i5 and compartment storage with SSD PCie 128GB. The on-board memory amounts to 8GB, while the screen is IPS and has a resolution FHD and a maximum brightness of 300 nits.
There is a double front speaker and the support for the stylus. Also in this case theautonomy declared is equal to 10 hours. Complete the standard WiFI connectivity 6, webcam 720p backlit keyboard spill-resistant water. The fund connectivity includes two ports USB 3.1 Type-C port, one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type A and 3.5 mm audio connector.
The availability of the IdeaPad Duet and Flex 5 in the north american market is set respectively for may and June 2020. The prices of the IdeaPad Duet depart from 279,99 dollars, those of the Flex 5 to $ 359.
