WhatsApp, app of instant messaging owned by Facebook, has announced that starting from February 1, 2020 is ending support for iOS 8 and earlier versions.

Until now, users running WhatsApp on a device with iOS 8 or above have been able to continue to use the app, but have not been able to create a new account or to re-verify existing accounts. By 1 February 2020, however, this will change, in fact, WhatsApp will abandon the fully support for iOS 8 and earlier versions.

Most likely, the end-of-support WhatsApp with these versions of iOS will not affect many users, since by now we arrived in iOS 13, but if you were still in the possession of a device you fall in this category, we recommend that you do as soon as possible a backup of message history, because after the established date will not be able to access it.
