As you surely know, based on the target market, the Samsung Galaxy S8 equips two SoC different: for the models destined for the USA, China and Japan is used SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 while for the models destined for all other markets (for which) is used the SoC Samsung Exynos 8895.

Both the Socs are manufactured in foundries and Samsung with the production process, a 10 nm FinFET. Both have a chip Bluetooth 5.0, LTE modem Gigabit and a chip WiFi-ac MIMO.

In the intentions of Samsung to the differences between the two models should be as minimum as possible, so as to ensure similar performance for all customers.

According, however, to some benchmark test to which they were subjected, the two variants (Geekbench for CPU and GFXBench for GPU), the Samsung Galaxy S8 with SoC Exynos has a slightly better performance from the point of view of the graph. The Mali-G71 MP20 is able to move slightly the Adreno 540.

The same thing you can say on the side of the CPU even if processes in a single core the Snapdragon 835 has proved superior.

What is quite remarkable that we can note is that, in the performance n single core, both models achieve a lower ranking compared to the performance in single core of a Galaxy S7. Very probably both Qualcomm and Samsung have optimized their SoC to operate in a better way by using more than one core at the same time.

These differences clearly, even though present, does not represent a valid reason to prefer one over the other. In fact, in day to day operations you will not notice any difference.
