Lena Headey, the actress who plays Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones, is a portrait of a passionate, cruel, narcissistic, and ambitious Cersei

With the winter now upon us (figuratively speaking, in view of the summer scorching hot that we are going through) and the seventh season of Game of Thrones ready to debut on the screens, one of the well-known faces of the saga, the television, the talented and beautiful Lena Headey, interpreter of the proud and ambitious Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Cersei Lannister, returns to talk about his complex character, which plays the role for the past seven seasons.

In the course of an interview at the Time, the british actress has provided a portrait of-all-trades Cersei, confessing his admiration for the Queen:

Love to play Cersei. It's intriguing to see what happens! It is so complex, the infinite. Every time you think you know it, comes a new level of depth, insecurity, fury, or resentment, drive or pain.

I don't know whether to sympathize for her. I in truth admire you!

In addition to all the things that have pursued the whole of his life: his family, his father, the death of his mother, Tyrion, the relationship with Jaime, the prophecy that announced the part of their children. And I think when Tommen, her youngest child, dies it is almost a relief for her.

A terrible sword of Damocles cha hung on his head, and then, finally, it happens. This season we will see how she will process her pain.

As regards the outrageous and complicated relationship of Cersei and his brother, Lena Headey has spoken in these terms:

Of Cersei and Jaime, we discussed a lot. Cersei has always wanted to be Jaime. Therefore, according to you, that relationship the complete. He was jealous because Jaime had of the privileges just for being born a man.

I think that their love is built on respect. He loves it really, really is in love with Cersei, but I do not think that his love is a pure love. I think you love it more for respect and a kind of need!

The seventh season of the acclaimed TV series, you will develop through seven episodes and will arrive in the United States on the 16th of July 2017. In Italy the series will be broadcast by Sky Atlantic in conjunction with the premiere in the USA (at 03:00 on 17 July).

Directed by Jeremy Podeswa, Mark Mylod, Matt Shakman, and Alan Taylor, the seventh season comes in the summer instead of in spring, as the other six that preceded it, it is because he decided to shoot the scenes during the winter months to get an atmosphere more cold and grey.
